Cannon Thomas, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with a particular interest in applying cognitive science to expert learning and performance.

Prior to offering services as a coach and consultant, Cannon practiced as a clinical psychologist for fifteen years. He is a founding partner in The San Francisco Group for Evidence-Based Psychotherapy. His practice specialized in skill development for optimizing performance and on interpersonal relationships. He continues to be an active researcher in psychology, emphasizing methods for providing feedback to improve professional standards.

Cannon received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Virginia and completed post-doctoral training at Stanford University. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

In addition to his work as a coach, Cannon is currently working on a book, Dynamic Maps: The Architecture of Inspired Lives. He also is a husband, a father, and a triathlete.
